He fell on the ground and worshipped
In times of trouble
Of great loss
Of confusion
Of disbelief
He fell on the ground and worshipped
My prayer
May I fall on my knees
When the walls crumble
When what I treasure disappears
Still
May I fall on the ground and worship
Blessing your holy name

Then Job arose and tore his robe and shaved his head and fell on the ground and worshiped. And he said, “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.” Job 1:20 (ESV)
Wow, really good. I have been thinking a great deal about the beatitudes lately and have come to appreciate how many of them Job embodies.
