Jesus is mercy
The man who stood between
Two warring parties
He was stricken
Punished for sins He did not commit
His blood a symbol of the new covenant
Flowing from a tree where He hang
Jesus is mercy
He now reigns
His is the way to life
He is life
He is mercy
Our high priest
Interceding for us
The tent in the desert
Had a seat of mercy
Yes, Justice und righteous but also mercy
For we are weak and imperfect
Leaning on our very limited understanding
Headed for destruction
But Jesus is mercy
Because of mercy
We are preserved
Thank you Jesus
