He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”
Whether the sun shines
Or it rains
Or it snows
Even when the storms rage
Or the waters rise
Know that I am God
Whether there is plenty
Or little
Or just enough
Even when there is none
Know that I am God
Whether kings rise
Or fall
Even if they convene and make plans
When systems are changed
Know that I am God
Psalm 2:1-3
Why do the nations conspire
and the peoples plot in vain?
The kings of the earth rise up
and the rulers band together
against the Lord and against his anointed, saying,
“Let us break their chains
and throw off their shackles.”
Whether kings pass away
And their death is mourned
When new king takes over
Nothing escapes my notice
I am God
I will be exalted among the nations
When kings rise or fall
Be it a Pharaoh
Or a Nebuchadnezzar
just as a flower blossoms and then quickly withers
Such is the life of a man
So be still and know that I am God
I will be exalted among the nations
I will be exalted in the earth
Selah
