You have taught me to love
To see things that I could not see before
To see people
Their needs
Their desire to be accepted
Their cry to be seen and be heard
The child in them crying out for help
A glimpse of what You see…
You see people
Behind the masks (figuratively and literally…)
Their fears
Their tears
Their hurt
Their pain
Their hopes
Their dreams
What matters to them…
Only You Lord can love us as we need to be loved
Your love never fails
Your love breaks the strongest of barriers
And opens up hearts of stone
To receive from you
Thirsty souls drink from Your fountains
My healer
Our healer and our God
Power and unfailing love belong to you

Mark 12:30-31 (ESV)
And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”
