Fear changes a person
Joy seeps away
Confidence seeps away
Courage seeps away
Fear of death
Fear of isolation
Fear of rejection
Fear of loss
Fear of poverty
Fear… all kinds of fear
Peter said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
Then fear…
“This was with Jesus of Nazareth.” Then Peter again denied it with an oath. “I don’t know the man.” Then immediately the rooster crowed.
Perfect love, God’s love cast out fear
Knowing that I am loved
That God is watching over me
That He cares for me linde
This builds my confidence and assurance
He is good and He is VERY capable
To Job
“Were you there?
When I laid the foundation of the earth?
Do you know the ordinance of the heaven?
Can you establish their rule on earth?
Do you give the horse its strength?
Do you hunt the prey for the lioness and satisfy the hunger of the lions?
Matt 16:23
But He turned and said to Peter, “Get behind me satan! You are a hinderance to me. For you are not setting your mind on the things of God but on the things of man.”
Setting out minds on the things of God
On the eternal and not on the temporary things
Is how we overcome fear
Seeing God
Seeing His goodness
His heart to save mankind
God’s plan for my life
A good plan, not one to bring disaster but to bring me peace.
God is love
God loves me
I will not be afraid
