But the Lord answered her, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things, but one thing is necessary. Mary has chosen the good portion, which will not be taken away from her.” Luke 10:41-42
Only one thing is needed…
That which cannot be taken away
Cars can be taken away
Wealth and riches can be taken away
A lot of things in life can be taken away
But…
God’s word which is truth
God’s peace
God’s love
Salvation, redeption and God given gifts and talents
Cannot be taken away
During this season of transition and unforeseen changes
Few things are needed… no indeed just one thing is needed
Mary chose that one thing
May we choose the word of God over the other things
To learn and to observe God’s way
For His ways are life .
