Who is He?
His name is recognized all over the world
Some like Him, others cannot stand Him
Some don’t want His name mentioned in private or in public
Why?
Who is He?
What is it about Him that stirs up
Anger, distaste, hatred in some
While in others
Comfort, freedom, healing, joy or even love
Strong emotions
Strong opinions
Misunderstood by many
Yet so loved and understood by some
Understood and loved by babes
Misunderstood by the scholars
Jesus
His name, His person
What is it about Him?
His teaching
Too difficult for some
Clear and perfect to others
Jesus
The perfect man
The son of God
God the son
The perfect prototype of the temple
Perfect measurements
The perfect measure of a man
Flawless as God intended
The second Adam,
God’s intent
A man who walked on water and moved mountains
He let not His will but God’s will be done
Jesus
God the Son
Redeemer, Lord, King
Blessed be Your holy name

Some of the people of Jerusalem therefore said, “Is not this the man whom they seek to kill? And here he is, speaking openly, and they say nothing to him! Can it be that the authorities really know that this is the Christ?
John 7:50-44 (ESV)
When they heard these words, some of the people said, “This really is the Prophet.” Others said, “This is the Christ.” But some said, “Is the Christ to come from Galilee? Has not the Scripture said that the Christ comes from the offspring of David, and comes from Bethlehem, the village where David was?” So there was a division among the people over him. Some of them wanted to arrest him, but no one laid hands on him.
Fountains of hope poetry 
Nevertheless the dimness shall not be such as was in her vexation, when at the first he lightly afflicted the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, and afterward did more grievously afflict her by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, in Galilee of the nations.
The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined.
Isaiah 9:1,2
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.
Isaiah 9:6,7
And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.
And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.
