But the Lord is still in the city …

Zephaniah 3:5 ( New Living Translation)

But the LORD is still there in the city, and he does no wrong. Day by day he hands down justice, and he does not fail. But the wicked know no shame.

But the Lord is still in the city …

Even when

Evil seems to prevail

Babies are being murdered in the womb

Corruption in high  places  is seen as mere thing

Churches are being burned down and pastors thrown in jail

The Lord is still in the city

He brings justice to His people

In His mercy He does not destroy us

Take heart my brothers and sisters

For the Lord your God is still in the city

Where can we hide from Him?

In the heavens?

In the depth of the sea?

Isn’t the earth His and heaven His dwelling place?

The Lord God almighty is still on the throne

The earth is His, everything belongs to Him

Be not deceived the Lord will not be mocked

What we sow we will reap

Those who cry out for justice will rejoice

For the Lord our God is still in the city
