Waiting for the thermals

Waiting on Your wonderful promises

Not relying on my own understanding

Not running around trying to make things work

Not going through life alone in despair

Waiting on You

You promised, surely You will deliver

You are never late

You prepare everything so perfectly

So that everything is just right

I repent for the times that I have been impatient

The many times I have complained, not understanding that You were at work

My understanding is limited to only what I see

But You see the whole picture

I see just a tiny part of it

So I will wait on You

Just as the eagle waits on the thermals

A mystery

You liken those who wait on You to these majestic birds

Strong fearless and yet, they still wait

They don’t rely on their own strength

Neither will I

I will ride on Your strength then let everyone know, that You helped me

So I am waiting on You Almighty eternal God.
