His Courts
Psalm 100:4 (NASB)
Enter His gates with thanksgiving
And His courts with praise.
Give thanks to Him, bless His name.
Psalm 84:10 (NASB)
For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand outside.
I would rather stand at the threshold of the house of my God
Than dwell in the tents of wickedness.
Psalm 84: (NASB)
My soul longed and even yearned for the courts of the Lord;
My heart and my flesh sing for joy to the living God.
David sings of how glad He is to be able to enter God’s courts. Yet courts are not places where anyone wants to be or go to.God is a judge; a just judge the only true judge, Daniel says He is rigidly just. Will I enter His courts with thanks giving today? God is a good God and He is on my side. That does not mean that He will allow sin to go unpunished it means that there was a sacrifice that was made that was sufficient to satisfy and balance the demands of the Law. So if I confess my sin and turn from wickedness then there is a way and the only way is JESUS CHRIST!
What revelation king David had! He knew judge’s heart. It is a heart for reconciliation. Yes our God is just but He is also our Father and we can enter His courts with praise and thanksgiving!
I do not depend on my righteousness, I depend on Jesus! I take His righteousness! Thank you Lord Jesus!
