This amazing cake was backed by Ms. Ngozikaego Okwuosa aka Ngozi
for our church’s 10th year anniversary celebration. She asked us to share the pictures on social platforms and share the story of what happened as she was planning on how to decorate the cake.
God cares about us and cares about details!!
The bottom layer of the cake represents a rock which is the Lord Jesus. The solid rock, on which we stand. Our pastor is South African, he grew up in Cape Town and spent a lot of time at the Table Mountains. Ngozi, the lady who baked this cake felt the Holy Spirit prompting her to look up the Table Mountains and sure enough! It has similar edges and I believe that was a special message to our dear pastor Richard from our loving God.
Grace demands more because it enables more – Catherine Maina
The second layer of the cake represents holiness. Gold represents holiness,
God sets very high standards for His children. Quality and perfection, nothing less! And he enables them to meet these standards through the grace of the Lord Jesus; “Be holy as I am holy”.
When His children complain, saying that it is too difficult to be holy. He reminds them that His has given them all that pertains to life and godliness and that His grace is sufficient in weakness.
God is love
The heart shaped layer represents love. God is love and Paul says it better than I ever could, “If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.”
Our friend indeed
The top of the cake represents fire, or the Holy Spirit. The passionate zeal to save souls and restore what the devil has stolen. The love and the power of the Holy Spirit!
Kudos Ngozi for sharing your God-given gift with us! God bless you!
Helps appreciate the celebration of Jesus in our lives. Christ is joy.

What a wonderful post and look at God’s word through a cake! I especially like your following point:
“God sets very high standards for His children. Quality and perfection, nothing less! And he enables them to meet these standards through the grace of the Lord Jesus; “Be holy as I am holy”.
It is only through God’s will and grace that we can be holy and perfect…in His sight. We are certainly not holy as mere humans without His grace through Jesus Christ! Good post…
