Joy

Ecclesiastes 2:24-26
ESV

There is nothing better for a person than that he should eat and drink and find enjoyment in his toil. This also, I saw, is from the hand of God, for apart from him who can eat or who can have enjoyment?
For to the one who pleases him God has given wisdom and knowledge and joy, but to the sinner he has given the business of gathering and collecting, only to give to one who pleases God. This also is vanity and a striving after wind.

The gift of joy

The gift of enjoyment
a cup of coffee
a cup of tea
the breeze
Light bouncing off the floor
the feel of carpet on my feet
the first sip of cold water
the first sip of warm water
the splash of water on my face

Thank you for joy

For the gift of enjoyment
yes there’s a lot to achieve
there are goals to achieve
there are targets to meet
numbers etc
but right now
I have the privilege to enjoy
joy

Even in the incomplete
Even in the unfinished story
