My intercessor is my friend

Job 16:19–22 (New International Version)

Even now, my witness is in heaven;my advocate is on high. My intercessor is my friend as my eyes pour out tears to God;on behalf of a man, he pleads with God as one pleads for a friend.“Only a few years will pass before I take the path of no return.”



That he would argue the case of a man with God
as a son of man with his neighbor
Who can stand before God
Who can argue my case
Who can cover my sin
With what can my sin be covered
What is sufficient to cover sin
That I can come before a throne so pure
Apart from one who is chosen and ordained for this work
A Lamb
The worthy Lamb of God
The perfect sacrifice
His blood is sufficient to cover my sin
To cover my shame
To argue my case
For the blood is sufficient
The price has been paid
That I can stand before a throne so pure before a God so holy
He has argued my case
He has won
It is finished
