1 Kings 8:54–55
Now as Solomon finished offering all this prayer and plea to the LORD, he arose from before the altar of the LORD, where he had knelt with hands outstretched toward heaven. And he stood and blessed all the assembly of Israel with a loud voice.
1 Kings 9:3–4
“I have heard your prayer and your plea, which you have made before me. I have consecrated this house that you have built, by putting my name there forever. My eyes and my heart will be there for all time.”
Thank you
For hearing my prayers
The silent pleas at night
The desperate whisper
The soundless mourning
The sighs
The tears
The desperate call
Thank you
For examining my heart
The simple truth that I need you
For not despising my weaknesses
My failures
Thank you for listening
Inclining your ears to my pleas
I had no one and nothing
Desperate for a helping hand
You looked my way
Thank you seems insufficient
But that is the theme of my heart today
Thank you
Selah
