The bride is transformed. She is now confident; she knows who she is and understands her purpose. She is no longer their little sister, but a mature woman with a purpose. She knows that she is loved.

“Who is this coming from the wilderness, leaning on her beloved?”
Friends – Song of Songs 8:8
“We have a little sister…”
They finally accept her as one of their own. She is married to a fellow Jew—she is now their “little sister.”
Loved, confident.
Song of Songs 8:10
“I am a wall, and my breasts are like towers; thus I have become in his eyes as one who brings him peace.”
She declares her growth—she is no longer a child. He is pleased with her. She is exercising the authority given to her by her husband.
Song of Songs 8:12
“But my vineyard is mine to give.”
Synchrony
From the Song of Songs—The Garden
She is His garden.
He is the Gardener.
She bears fruit—the fruit of the Holy Spirit.
He is looking for fruit, just as He did with the fig tree. He expects fruit—rightfully so, for He has invested so much in His garden.
“Get rid of the little foxes that spoil the vineyard,” He says.
Being One
Adam and his bride—
She came from Him.
She will return to Him.
Intimacy
One person.
One mind.
One goal.
Christ and the Church.
She now desires to bear lasting fruit—for His glory.
They are one.
She is His.
He is hers.
“I am my beloved’s, and He is mine.”
First Fruits
James 1:18 (NKJV)
“Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures.”
Jesus is the firstfruits—the best of the harvest.
Draw me closer Lord to thee. Amen.
