Times and Seasons (Cycle)

“As long as the earth exists, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will not cease.”Time and space are inseparable.

It is crucial for us to discern the times, just as our Lord Jesus taught in the Gospel. There is a time for everything, and God sets the seasons in our lives.

The space we find ourselves in is influenced by the Word of God. When God’s Word is spoken, the atmosphere shifts, and faith arises. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.

My body is the space where my spirit and the Holy Spirit reside. Jesus says that He stands at the door and knocks so that those who hear His voice may open the door:

“I will come in and eat with him, and he with Me.”Certain phrases we use shed light on the workings of the spiritual life.

For example:”Let us have a heart-to-heart.””I know in my heart of hearts.”These expressions reveal our awareness of a deeper place within us—a place of deep fellowship and knowing.

It is worth going deeper and exploring what God’s Word says about our body, soul, and spirit and how this relates to our life in Christ.

Time and Space—A Gift from God”Time is what stops everything from happening at once.” – John Archibald Wheeler

Time and space are gifts from God, given to enable me to fulfill my purpose. I have been granted time and placed in a specific space—and it is there that I will blossom as I live out what I was created to do.

“For in Him we live and move and have our being.” (Acts 17:28)

God’s Perspective on Time

“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End.”

God sees the beginning and the end at the same time—the beginning is the end. -Peril Allube

“The year is a repetition of what has already been—the revolving of the earth around the sun, the coming of winter, spring, summer, and fall; birth and death—all a repetition of the past.”  -Jonathan Cahn

Seasons and Cycles Jesus is waiting at the end of the time tunnel for the believer—this is where eternity begins.

God determines the seasons and times. Nothing is new under the sun.We measure time in hours, days, weeks, months, and years. However, God seems to work in seasons and cycles.

God instructed the Israelites to celebrate the feasts over and over again. Understanding the seasons is a gift—just like the sons of Issachar, who understood the times.

Father, my time is in your hands. May it count, may you be glorified, may my time here bring a smile to your face. In Jesus name, Amen.
