We Are Houses.

Who Is Your Master?

Houses.

Resting places.

I will return to my house, from which I came.

A house represents your life. You cannot serve two masters; you can only serve one—you must serve someone.

A vacuum does not exist.

Behold, I stand at the door of your house—your life.

Behold, your house is on solid ground. O come to your dwelling place!”Arise, O LORD, to Your resting place, You and the ark of Your strength.” (Psalm 132:8)

A pot in the Potter’s hands—what Apostle Paul refers to as earthen vessels containing treasure.

The disciples collected the leftovers of the bread, representing manna from heaven—the Word of God. Our Lord Jesus is the Word that became flesh, and His body was broken.

Apostle Paul explains this so clearly when he says that we share in one body:”Is not the cup of blessing which we bless a sharing in the blood of Christ? Is not the bread which we break a sharing in the body of Christ?” (1 Corinthians 10:16)

After Jesus performed the miracle of feeding over five thousand people with bread and fish, the disciples collected the leftovers and placed them in twelve baskets.

Those baskets represented them. The bread was the Word of God, the broken body of Christ, filling the baskets. Each one of us needs the Word of God; otherwise, our spiritual man will be malnourished.

These disciples’ names are written on the foundation stones of the New Jerusalem because they carried this Good News, spread it, and through it, souls have been redeemed. Amen.

Now the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD terrorized him.” (1 Samuel 16:14, NASB)”

Now when the unclean spirit goes out of a man, it passes through waterless places seeking rest, and does not find it.” (Matthew 12:43, NASB).

There is no vacuum—each house, each person, carries something. We either carry the Spirit of God or other spirits, as described in Luke 11:25. These spirits seek a place to rest, but as believers in Jesus Christ, our bodies are the temples of the Holy Spirit.

We are carriers of God’s presence.”Arise, O LORD, to Your resting place, You and the ark of Your strength.” (Psalm 132:8).

You cannot serve two masters, and a vacuum does not exist.

Jesus is the Good Shepherd—choose Him today!

Behold, I stand at the door of your house—your life.

Dear Jesus, my heart is Your home; come and rest here. Transform me in Your love and grace. Holy Spirit, You are welcome in my life. I repent where I have grieved You. You are my safe place. You are good, and it is an honor to have You reside in my heart. Amen.
