Week 2 – In Search of Adam
“Who am I? What is my identity?”
Evil spirits confuse people about their gender and identity, but they are restored when they have an encounter with Jesus (Amos 8:12–14).
Who is the perfect measure of a man?
He is God’s Son, the Son of Man, and the second Adam.
God established the moral standard—natural laws, spiritual laws, principles, and God’s law. We do not decide what is right or wrong; we are simply to follow His will.
Ezekiel 40:3
When He brought me there, behold, there was a man whose appearance was like bronze, with a linen cord and a measuring reed in his hand. And he was standing in the gateway.
My God, the God of solutions!
Amos 8:12–13
People will stagger from sea to sea and wander from north to east, searching for the word of the LORD, but they will not find it. In that day, the lovely young women and strong young men will faint because of thirst.
Jesus is the answer for the world today. In Jesus, we find our identity.
Only Jesus can fill and satisfy the hunger and thirst inside each one of us.
Sons and Fathers – In Search of Adam
John 1:9–13
“The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world.”
Dear Jesus, you are the way, the truth, and the life. Guide me; let me be who you say I am. My identity is in you. Amen.
